You are covered up to the sum insured (the contents cover the amount you select on the policy from £10,000 up to £50,000).  If there is an escape of water (water escaping from washing machines, dishwashers or any fixed domestic water or heating installations) you will be covered.  The excess for this will be shown on your policy certificate.
