It is likely a landlord will want to perform a reference check on a new tenant moving into their property. If your landlord/agent has decided to use TheHouseShop to perform this check, then you will receive a notification via email from us.

This email will ask you to check the details we have for you are correct and to upload any further information we need. This is also for you to agree for the check to be carried out, a landlord/agent cannot complete any check (credit or full reference) on a tenant without their written permission. 

We will run the tenant referencing checks, verifying the information provided by you or your landlord on your behalf to ensure you are suitable to rent the property.

You will then be informed of the outcome of the reference check.
